Youths have the power to positively influence qualities of living, economic growth, and development of a nation. Their strengths can bring about healthy standard of living in households. That the present economic situation has put enormous strain on employment activities globally, thus worsening the case of unemployment among youths, there is need for conscious and direct involvement of employers organisation and social groups to go beyond lobbying and advocacy to influence policies on youth employment by engaging in far-reaching initiatives to directly empower the youths to become self employed. All stakeholders are, of necessity, to develop and implement strategic action plans to combat high level of unemployment among youths. The above is what led to the collaboration between the Nigeria Employers Consultative Association and the Confederation of Norwegian Enterprises to commence empowerment of Nigerian youths through the launch of SEFNY. Efforts at tackling youth employment challenges would, among others, included step-by-step, practical-oriented training and development products, knowledge transfers, experience sharing and brainstorming sessions to adequate equip the youths to stand up for their destinies. At the Self Employment For Nigerian Youths (SEFNY), our objective is to ensure that more and more Nigerian youths become gainfully employed through the launch of their own business ideas.
